Guard- Posturing

This week we are focusing on the posture process from guard. This is much more difficult than it appears. Remember, when you are on top you want to close space. So when you posture, you are essentially “opening” space. Therefore, you need to be precise and technical when transitioning.

Keys to doing this well are:

1. shift to create an angle

2. sit up, straighten arms

3. sit low, sit wide

4. grips

5. back extension
